Exploitable results Integration of Contactless technologies into public transport Environment; ICARE ICARE developed a contactless payment and ticketing system for multimodal and multi-operator public transport environments. Major validation sites were situated in Paris, Lisbon, Venice and Constance. The beneficiaries will be public transport operators and travellers in general. A universal interface is commercially available for contact and contactless cards which can combine electronic purse and public transport ticketing applications.
