Exploitable results
PROATN will develop a prototype of an innovative aeronautical telecommunications network. It will benefit airline operators and air traffic controllers by allowing the exchange of messages between ground-based traffic control centres and aircraft.
A full Aeronautical Telecommunications Network (ATN) compliant with International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) standards has been developed and is currently being commercialised world-wide.
