Objective
In this project, European citizens will be provided with applications of information and communication technologies, notably for education and training over wide area networks. Sites at universities and adult training centres will be extended to villages and equipped with multimedia personal computers and video-conferencing facilities. They will also be linked to regional enterprises, schools, administrative services, hospitals, telecentres and other bodies. Suitable user technology will be piloted with applications in healthcare and renewable energy, respectively. Aspects of telework and teletraining will also be examined.
