Obiettivo
The EXPRO-CFD project is concerned with improving the technical competitiveness of the EU offshore industry related to the design and construction of floating and moored production systems. This is to be achieved by improving the state of the art and know-how in the prediction of wave loading and responses of these systems through the application and further development of the latest techniques in coupling CFD and wave diffraction software to vessel dynamics software tools. The new methodologies will be validated using new experimental data generated within the project, and evaluated using concept design analysis studies, selected physical testing and intercomparison of results, and practical critical review by end-users.
