Obiettivo Strength and ductility are of primary importance for steel users, especially in automotive industries, where safety and fuel efficiency can be improved by reducing vehicle weight. Coated strips for the automotive applications become thinner and thinner. This practice requires the production of growing amounts of high strength steels that are known for presenting galvanising problems. The purpose of this research is to determine to what extent it is possible to galvanise, in current galvanising lines, hot rolled high strength steel (Dual Phase and TRIP steel) by adapting their composition and the process parameters.
