Obiettivo Undoubtedly, Neutrino Physics, including Neutrino Astrophysics, currently is among the most active and rapidly evolving disciplines in fundamental physics, with major new discoveries having been made in recent years. The "International Conference on Neutrino Physics and Astrophysics", which is conducted every two years at varying places in Europe, North America, and Asia, is the most prestigious international conference in this field, with the majority of the experimental discoveries and progress in theory having been announced for the first time at the Neutrino Conferences. Max-Planck-Institute für Physik, Munich, and Technische Universität München have been selected among strong international competitors to jointly organise and host Neutrino-2002, the twentieth conference in this series. The scope of the conference is to provide an international forum for the presentation and discussion of recent developments in Neutrino Physics and Neutrino Astrophysics. Neutrino-2002 intends to bring together the internationally leading experts of the field and the best young researchers, to discuss new results and developments, exchange ideas and new insights, stimulate promising future research projects and promote both existing and new collaborations. The scientific program of the conference covers essentially all sub-disciplines of Neutrino Physics and Neutrino Astrophysics, as well as relevant topics from neighbouring fields, e.g. astrophysics. This includes, among others, neutrino physics at particle accelerators and nuclear reactors, solar and atmospheric neutrinos, neutrino oscillation searches, neutrino telescopes, investigation of fundamental neutrino properties, relevance of neutrinos for cosmology, dark matter, and astrophysical aspects of neutrinos (e.g. supernovae, cosmic rays). Following the tradition of the Neutrino Conferences, the scientific program will be organised in plenary sessions, exclusively. There will be mostly invited plenary talks, complemented by the display of contributed papers, a poster session and oral presentations of selected contributed papers.
