European network for developing new horizons for RIs

Project description

Strengthening research infrastructure in Ukraine

Fostering scientific and technical collaboration in the field of research infrastructure (RI) is a priority for the EU as it paves its path towards research excellence. The EU-funded EURIZON project aims to strengthen the European RI landscape with a special focus on coordination and support measures for Ukraine. The project will support European teams to develop and deliver cutting-edge technologies for European RI and for RI upgrade projects currently underway. Moreover, it will introduce actions to support scientists from Ukraine, provide training in RI from Ukraine, and explore and develop science diplomacy measures dedicated to support the reconstruction of the Ukrainian RI landscape.

Objective

• Technically develop and push maximally forward advanced European RIs in close collaboration and to develop high-end and beyond state-of-the-art technologies and design components for physical and analytical RI.

• Set up and implement a targeted training and staff exchange programme around RIs in Ukraine, plus to contribute to capacity building and recovery of the Ukrainian RI landscape.

Programme(s)
