EVITECH contributes to a new border/coast protection system with intelligent video analysis
Based on a very accute image processing software, EVITECH's technology will be applied to a peripheral 360° image for detecting intruders by day and night over 1 km radius in the wild or on coasts. The project, named SAFEAROUND, concerns wild areas and coast protection, such as an airport, an oil refinery, a mine, an oil platform, etc... The captor is a two-camera rotative captor from HGH which will provide every second a new 360° image of the area. EVITECH's Eagle technology will be applied to this image in order to detect mobile objects in this environment, to locate, track, classify, and identify them. With a behaviour analysis (speed, positions, moves), a hierarchy of threats will be established and presented to the user. The use of both visible and thermal captors wil make it possible to build a fusion process (IEF), eventually using also a subsonic information from a ground captor (MARTEC). The SAFEAROUND project is supported by the French government (FCE, MoD/DGA).
