New RSS feeds launched by Science for Environment Policy
You can now subscribe to the Latest News Alert RSS feed, which alerts you to articles in the latest weekly issue of the News Alert. Access from here: http://ec.europa.eu/environment/integration/research/newsalert/specialissue_en.htm(si apre in una nuova finestra) These two new feeds add to the popular RSS feeds for individual policy themes, launched earlier this year, which inform subscribers of articles in their specific area of interest, such as Air pollution, Biodiversity, Chemicals or Water. It provides easy-to-read summaries of policy-relevant research and there are several ways in which it can be accessed, including via RSS feeds. Subscribers to the email service receive weekly news alerts, which cover a wide range of topics. Subscribers also receive special Thematic Issues which each take an in-depth look at a topic high on the policy agenda. To subscribe to the email service, simply send an email to sfep@uwe.ac.uk with the subject line ‘Subscribe SfEP’. All articles and Thematic Issues are posted online and can be viewed at: http://ec.europa.eu/environment/integration/research/newsalert/index_en.htm(si apre in una nuova finestra) A recent independent survey carried out amongst subscribers to the Science for Environment Policy News Alert revealed a high degree of satisfaction with the service. 97% of respondents claimed to find the service useful, including 38% who considered it very useful. Other interesting findings from the survey include that the vast majority of respondents found that the News Alert keeps them up to date with the latest environment policy relevant scientific research (93%), provides useful summaries of high quality scientific research (92%) and makes it easier to understand what is going on in environmental research (83%).
