Centre for Earth Observation focuses on space research
Information about the role of space research in the Fifth Framework Programme is now available in the January 1999 newsletter of the Centre for Earth Observation (CEO), which is intended to provide general information about the activities of the EC-funded Strategy and Systems for Space Applications Unit. The newsletter includes reports on the CEO's on-line data and information system and on growth and concentration in the market place for the Earth Observation industry. It also includes a summary of how the change from the old to the new Framework programme will affect CEO projects, and an update on recent calls for proposals and major projects. It reviews the CEO workshops held in Ispra, Italy, in autumn 1998, and gives notification of future events. The CEO newsletter is updated quarterly. It is available in print and electronic form.
