EUROTRANS-BIO 6th Call results
Funding has been offered to innovative industrial R&D&I projects in the fields of red (80%), grey (13,3%) and green (6,7%) biotechnologies. 36 SMEs, 1 large industry and 16 Research Organizations from 7 European Countries/Regions are involved in the projects and raise a global budget of more than 27 million €. ETB launches common calls for industry-driven trans-national R&D&I projects with a view to create an integrated funding programme for biotech SMEs. Since 2006 six joint calls were implemented and 114 projects, with overall project costs of 201 million €, were funded. ETB launches annual calls and will establish a sustainable joint program for funding biotech R&D&I projects of European SMEs by 2012. More information on the ETB initiative at www.eurotransbio.eu
