The Natural History Museum (NHM) in the UK is extending its current offer to invite researchers to undertake short-term visits to utilise the facilities of the NHM and its associated for research purposes. The NHM is now collaborating with the Paris Natural History Museum's Systematics Collections and the Zoölogish Museum in Amsterdam, and candidates are invited to submit applications for two or all three facilities. Through the European Commission's Training and Mobility of Researchers (TMR) Large-Scale Facility Programme, funds have been available to provide access to European (and Associated States) researchers to use the NHM's facilities for up to three months. The NHM has an extensive global collection of historical records which enable researchers to address international biodiversity issues, from monitoring biological, chemical and environmental changes through to every aspect of taxonomy, evolutionary biology and ecology. Applications for joint access can be made to any one of these three institutions via the application form on the NHM website: URL: http://www.nhm.ac.uk/science/science_marketing/bioresource/ or directly to the institutions' web pages: For the Paris Natural History Museum: URL: http://www.mnhn.fr/progsc/index.html For the Zoölogish Museum Amsterdam: URL: http://www.eti.uva.nl/zma/ For further information, please contact: Vanessa Pike Science Marketing Office The Natural History Museum Cromwell Road London SW7 5BC UK Fax +44-171-9389189 E-mail: vanp@nhm.ac.uk
