INTAS publishes advanced information on future calls

TenderScientists from INTAS (International Association for the promotion of cooperation with scientists) Member States, and from the New Independent States of the former Soviet Union (NIS) will be invited to submit research proposals when a call is announced towards the end of April 1999. The call will stay open until the end of June. INTAS has published advanced information on calls for proposals for joint research projects and networks during 1999, in the following fields: - Physics, Astronomy; - Mathematics, Telecommunication and Informatics; - Chemistry; - Life Sciences; - Earth Sciences, Environment, Energy; - Engineering Science, Aeronautics, Space; - Economics, Social and Human Sciences. The minimum partnership for joint research projects will be four participating teams, of which two must be from different INTAS Member States and two from different NIS organisations. Participation in networks will require at least three teams from INTAS Member States and three from different NIS organisations. Proposals will be evaluated by at least three independent experts under the independent scrutiny of the INTAS Council of Scientists. The calls will be announced in the INTAS website, and in Nature, POISK and Izvestia.
