Release of Commission archives
Concerning the opening to the public of the historical archives of the European Communities, this amendment to Commission Decision 89/196/EEC, Euratom, ECSC states that the Commission shall publish a notice in the Official Journal to the effect that it intends to release a document or record covered by the obligation of professional or business secrecy. If no objections are submitted by the person or undertaking concerned within a period of eight weeks then the document or record shall be released.
