Raising the bar for eBusiness
Implemented by the eBusiness Education and Research Network for Euro-Asian Collaboration (eBEREA), the EU-funded project 'The eBusiness research by Euro-Asian exchange programme' (EBEREA)(opens in new window) was supported by the EU Marie Curie International Research Staff Exchange Scheme (IRSES). The project advanced research and higher education in the field of eBusiness, and developed sustainable collaboration between eBusiness researchers in China and the EU. Work paid special attention to financial services for consumers and citizens while focusing on business modelling and design. The team also studied regulatory issues and trust-enhancing mechanisms. Already successful research cooperation between partner universities and between individual researchers was reinforced and strengthened. During the project, the Network doubled in size and now includes 120 researchers. The intensified and expanded collaboration covers 14 universities in China and Europe. The analysis of research and more information on the Network can be found on the project website. During the four-year project, the researchers visited other EBEREA universities frequently, amounting to 202 research exchange months. Experienced researchers did half of the visits. The project involved four countries and a network of eight universities. The Network's permanent status in eBusiness collaboration continues the mission to advance research and higher education.
