RTD Procedures Manual for project submission and funding
The European Commission has published a new "Procedures Manual" on EU-funded research and technological development. The aim of the document is to make the methods used by the Commission more transparent to applicants interested in the processes of project submission and selection. The 92-page publication, entitled "EC-Funded Research and Technological Development. An insight into the handling of project proposals", is a guide to procedures for project proposals submitted to RTD programmes. The first part deals with the process for organizing the evaluation of proposals after they have been submitted and also explains the arrangements for the selection of proposals for funding. The second part deals with the processes of negotiating an RTD contract and subsequent project management.
