Authorization for State aid: French agro-food research
State aid has been agreed (cases where the Commission raises no objections) for two French aid schemes involving research in the agro-food sector: - Aid and parafiscal charges for the benefit of the "Societe nationale interprofessionelle de la tomate" (Aid No N 46/93): Economic studies and research and development projects will be carried out in the general interest of the sector and the results notified to all operators. Aid intensity of 100% will be provided for three years supported by a tax levied on frozen or concentrated tomato products. - Aid and parafiscal charges for the benefit of the "Bureau national interprofessionnel du pruneau" (Aid No N 68/93): Economic studies, research and development and publicity and promotional measures will be supported by parafiscal charges levied for the three-year period to December 1995. Research projects are carried out in the general interest and the results will be notified to all operators in the sector.
