Study on integration and validation of existing multimedia applications on PC-based architecture
The European Commission, DG XIII, (Telecommunications, Information Market and Exploitation of Research) has launched a call for proposals for feasibility studies in the following areas: - To examine integration and validation of existing multimedia applications on PC-based software. The aim of this study is to define and implement a PC-based prototype to provide SMEs with a Euro-ISDN-based terminal which integrates existing applications of common interest such as telephony, file transfer, screen-sharing, etc. -Promotion of awareness of Euro-ISDN. The aim of this study is to encourage a limited number of new projects in the area of promotion of Euro-ISDN for SMEs throughout Europe. -Euro-ISDN for Euro Info Centres. The European Commission has established more than 200 information centres in Europe to provide support for SMEs. This study will prepare a plan for the utilization of the EICs for dissemination of ISDN-related information.
