Deputy Director sought for the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (CEDEFOP)
A Deputy Director is sought for the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (CEDEFOP). The Centre was established in 1975 to assist the Commission of the European Communities in the promotion and development of vocational training and continuing training. It is currently situated in Berlin with a staff of 76, but will move to Thessaloniki at an as yet unspecified date in the future. The Deputy Director will be responsible for assisting the Director and replacing him when required. The particular responsibilities of the deputy director will include external relations, in particular with users of the Centres products, as well as the management of the Centre's permanent services. The appointment will be for a period of five years, renewable once for a maximum of a further five years. The successful candidate will be expected to take up the post on 1 October 1994.
