On 7-8 July 1994 the European Commission held a meeting in Bratislava to discuss future scientific and technological cooperation with the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. The Commission asked each of the participating countries to identify its priority areas of action for future cooperation under the Community's Fourth Framework Programme. Romanian priorities for cooperation are: - Telecommunications (mainly infrastructure); - Agriculture; - Transport (mainly infrastructure); - Fundamental research in biology and physics.
