Commission authorizations for State aid
The Commission has authorized the following cases of State aid for RTD-related projects: - Spain: . Aid for the preparation of feasibility studies on R&D projects; . Training aid for vocational training, grants to workers and firms; . Vocational training programmes (vocational training grants for the unemployed and for job-holders); . Aid for investment by SMEs in Objective 2 areas; . Aid for improvements in working conditions and safety at work, investments, studies and training; - Italy: . Environmental protection measures (grants to firms for relocation and restructuring for environmental reasons, for cleaning-up of pollucontrol, recycling and reuse of waste and energy efficiency measures); - United Kingdom: . RETEX programme for Northern Ireland (to support the diversification of the economic base of Northern Ireland primarily in sectors and activities outside the textile and clothing subsectors); . Business enterprise support for SMEs.
