Tender: technical and scientific support in relation to the Habitats and Birds Directives
The Directorate-General for the Environment has launched a call for tenders for technical and scientific support in relation to the Habitats and Birds Directives. The overall objective of this tender is to provide technical and scientific support to the Commission in relation to the implementation of the Birds Directive 2009/147/EC and the Habitats Directive 92/43/EEC. Three areas are concerned. The first area is technical input relating to complaints and infringement cases associated with EU nature legislation or technical input related to issues raised through parliamentary questions and petitions. Other input may be requested in order to help the Commission to verify the conformity of EU-funded projects with the requirements of EU nature legislation, among other cases. The second area is technical input to the Commission in elaborating or updating of guidance documents, interpretation notes or reviews, necessary to promote the coherent implementation of the Habitats and Birds Directives.
