The European Commission has published its call for proposals for 'Marie Curie Industry-Academia Partnerships and Pathways (IAPP)', which is coming under the EU's Seventh Framework Programme (FP7). Seeking to enhance industry-academia cooperation in terms of research training, career development and knowledge sharing, this call focuses on SMEs and traditional manufacturing industries. With EUR 81 million under the 2013 EU budget, it will instigate long term cooperation programmes to increase mutual understanding between the industrial and academic sectors. The IAPP action supports the 'Innovation Union' flagship initiative by strengthening research and business performance and by promoting innovation and knowledge transfer throughout the EU. It is hoped to help turn creative ideas into innovative products and processes that can efficiently address European and global societal challenges. To see the official call announcement, please consult: Participant portal To see partnership requests for this call, please consult: CORDIS Partners Service
