AL-INVEST: European cooperation with Latin America
The European Union's AL-INVEST programme has published a brochure which outlines the programme's features and provides a useful information handbook. The aim of the programme is to encourage private business initiatives and strengthen the relationship between Latin America businesses and institutions and their European counterparts. AL-INVEST will establish a series of operational structures such as Eurocentres for Enterprise Cooperation (ECEs). These will provide information and assistance to Latin America business people who are seeking opportunities with European partners in the area of technology transfer, joint ventures, training programmes and subcontracting.
