Biotechnology programme: Catalogue of contracts 1992-1994
The European Commission, DG XII, has published a new catalogue of contracts for the specific RTD programme in the field of biotechnology. This constitutes the second and last volume describing projects financed in the period 1992-1994. The catalogue groups the projects under areas, topics and sub-topics corresponding to the organization of the Biotechnology work programme. Within each sub-topic, projects are grouped according to the implementation modalities described. Each project includes a title, some contract details, the participants, a summary of the objectives, a brief work description and keywords. The following subject areas are covered: - Molecular approaches: protein structure and function, gene structure and expression of genes; - Cellular and organism approaches: cellular regeneration, reproduction and development of living organisms, as well as the metabolism of animals, plants and microbes; - Ecology and population biology: ecological implications of biotechnology; - Horizontal activities common to all areas: information infrastructure.
