Results of first call under Targeted Socio-Economic Research programme
A total of 544 proposals were submitted to the European Commission following the first call for proposals for the specific RTD programme in the field of targeted socio-economic research. The call, launched on 15 March 1995 and closing on 8 June 1995, concerned Areas I, II and III of the programme. The number of proposals received for each area was as follows: - Area I - Evaluation of science and technology policy options in Europe: 120; - Area II - Research on education and training: 191; - Area III - Research into social exclusion and social integration in Europe: 233. In total, 38 projects (17 for Area I, 10 for Area II and 11 for Area III) were selected, representing an EC contribution of ECU 20.2 million.
