TMR 'Research Training Networks' and 'Network Vacancies'
The Community's specific RTD programme for the training and mobility of researchers (TMR) has recently placed details of its 'Research Training Networks' activity on the World Wide Web. This new information service provides a complete list of all selected TMR training networks. As soon as a network contract is signed, a description of the network objectives, the name and address of the participants will be added. This will be updated once a year when the annual reports from the network partners have been presented. In addition, all network coordinators are being encouraged to create their own home pages in order to allow them to further highlight their research achievements. Where such a home page exists, it will be mentioned in the description of the network and a link will be made available to access it directly. These Web pages also offer a major resource for young researchers looking for Community-funded research posts across Europe. A separate page has been opened to advertise available posts financed in the successful networks. The TMR programme will finance around 2,500 "young researcher years". Details of all these vacancies will be available on the Web. The vacancies page will be updated regularly as networks allocate their resources.
