MEDIA II - training activities
The European Commission, DG X, has published a pre-qualification notice concerning the implementation of training activities for professionals from the European audiovisual programme industry under the MEDIA II - "Training" programme. Among the actions to be implemented are the improvement of vocational, initial and in-service training for audiovisual professionals to give them the necessary knowledge and skills to take into account the European and other markets, in particular in the following areas: - Economic and commercial management; - Use and development of new technology for the production of audiovisual programme production; - Scriptwriting techniques. Operators (training institutes, companies, etc.) whose activities contribute to the aforementioned actions are invited to apply to the Commission for the document "Guidelines for proposal submission in view of obtaining a financial grant from the Community in the area of training". This indicates how to submit a proposal with a view to obtaining a financial contribution from the Community for initial or in-service training actions in the areas concerned.
