The European Parliament on 11 March 1992, at the second reading under the cooperation procedure, approved the Council's common position on the adoption of standards for satellite broadcasting of television signals, following on the Commission's amended proposal for a Council Directive (COM(91) 530 of 6.12.1991). The Directive will enter into force after formal adoption by the Council.
