Information and communication, culture and audiovisual policy
The European Commission, DG X, has published a call for expressions of interest for persons or organizations wishing to be included in lists of potential candidates for invitations to tender relating to the provision of services in support of the Commission's activities in the areas of information and communication, cultural policy and audiovisual policy. The present call covers the following areas: - 1) Design and implementation of information and communication activities and campaigns aimed at the general public; - 2) Design and implementation of information and communication activities aimed at young people; - 3) Design and implementation of information and communication activities aimed at university environments; - 4) Design and implementation of information and communication activities aimed at economic environments, decision-makers, trade unions, farmers and fishing environments; - 5) Advice on media relations; - 6) Editing or rewriting of articles, brochures, newsletters, press reviews in one of the languages of the European Community; - 7) Editing or rewriting of texts to be published on screen in one of the languages of the European Community; - 8) Translation/revision of articles, brochures, newsletters from one or several Community languages into another Community language; - 9) Translation of articles and other documents from European Union languages into Russian, Arabic, Chinese and Japanese. - 10) 'Corporate image' and public relations; - 11) Research and analyses of public opinion and utilization of databases of results from opinion polls; - 12) Management of cultural programmes; - 13) Advice on cultural heritage; - 14) Advice on books and reading; - 15) Advice on artistic and cultural creation; - 16) Management of support programmes for the sports sector; - 17) Management of support programmes for the audiovisual sector; - 18) Advice on the technical aspects of the audiovisual policy; - 19) Advice on the economic aspects of programmes and activities related to culture, audiovisual media, sport, information and communication; - 20) Evaluation of programmes and activities related to culture, audiovisual media, sport, information and communication; - 21) Legal information on citizens rights; - 22) Advice on the legal aspects of programmes and activities related to culture, audiovisual media, sport, information and communication; - 23) Journalists; - 24) Design, layout, graphic design of brochures, leaflets and other information products; - 25) Illustrations for brochures, leaflets and other information products; - 26) Cartoonists; - 27) Monitoring of cartographical works; - 28) Small photogravure works; - 29) Small printing works; - 30) Design and manufacturing of electronic information methods; - 31) Design, layout, electronic publication design; - 32) HTML formatting of texts and publications for electronic publication (CD-ROM, Internet, etc.); - 33) Small retrieval and electronic formatting works; - 34) Production of information or illustration programmes on audiovisual media (producers); - 35) Devising the narrative based on information or illustration programmes on audiovisual media (audiovisual journalists); - 36) Revision of a narrative for audiovisual use (scriptwriters); - 37) Design and illustrated representation of information data on audiovisual media (graphic designers); 38) Design and representation with 2-D or 3-D images of information data on audiovisual media (computer-aided graphic designer); - 39) Production of information reports based on audiovisual programmes (reporters); - 40) Production of the narrative illustrating audiovisual programmes (commentators); - 41) Revision of an information text in support of programmes audiovisuals (rewriters); - 42) Design and production of photographs in studio; - 43) Design and erection of exhibition stands and other equipment used for fairs and exhibitions; - 44) Organization of public events: seminars, conferences, meetings, etc. A separate list will be drawn up for each of the areas mentioned above. When the Commission wishes to call upon services in one of these areas, an invitation to tender will be issued to all applicants on the list concerned. The lists resulting from this notice will be used exclusively for contracts with a value estimated to be below the threshold of "public contract" agreements - currently ECU 137,537.
