Procurement procedures: Water, energy, transport, telecommunications
The Commission of the European Communities has made a proposal for a Council Directive coordinating the laws, regulations and administrative provisions relating to the application of Community rules on the procurement procedures of entities operating on the water, energy, transport and telecommunications sectors (COM(90) 276). The Directive provides for: - Remedies at national level in the case of infringements of Community law in the field of national rules implementing that law; - Regular attestation of purchasing procedures and practices of contracting entities; - A corrective mechanism at Community level; - Conciliation procedures.
