ePSIGate, the gateway for Europes PSI stakeholders is open for member registration

ePSIGate http://www.epsigate.org/ is the Web gateway for Europes public sector information stakeholders. This portal is created and maintained by ePSInet, the European public Sector Information Network.

ePSInet is a European project funded by the eContent programme, building on the achievements of the previous PSInet preparatory project.,The aim of ePSInet is firstly to create favourable conditions all over Europe for the effective implementation of the Directive on re-use and commercial exploitation of public sector information and secondly to bring together the managers of public sector information and facilitate an active dialogue, knowledge sharing and exchange of information in the sector in order to promote the re-use and commercial exploitation of PSI. Through a network of country coordinators, representing each current EU member state, the ePSInet project serves as a facilitator in assisting the PSI community in sharing relevant policies and legislation, interesting disputes and cases, in discussing innovation and good practice in the management of PSI over the whole information lifecycle and developments in the related standards.,This is supported by the ePSIGate portal, enhanced by an on-line advisory service, news section, useful links and a forum. ePSIGate http://www.epsigate.org/(öffnet in neuem Fenster) is the Web gateway for Europes public sector information stakeholders. This portal is created and maintained by ePSInet, the European public Sector Information Network. The purpose of this portal is to provide a knowledge-sharing, alerting and advisory service targeted to the needs of public administrators, commercial users and end-user representatives.,Through a simple registration process you can become a member, free of charge, and thus benefit from the concentrated efforts of the partners and country co-ordinators of the project. As a member, you will have access to up-to-date information on European and national legislation, news, events, and developments related to the European Directive on the re-use and commercial exploitation of public sector documents.,An on-line advisory service enables you to ask questions and get answers from experts in the field.
