Conference to highlight latest IST funding opportunities
Outlining the aims of the conference Peter Walters, UK National Contact Point for IST, said: "The first half day session will allow newcomers to Framework Funding to get up to speed on FP6 and enable the more experienced players to brush-up on their background knowledge. The full day programme for day two will then focus on helping UK organisations to successfully participate in the forthcoming IST Calls."
NCP and senior Commission speakers will present the current status of FP6 along with the new Workprogramme and Call details for 2005-06. Delegates will benefit from the guidance available on the proposal process.
"It is vital that UK organisations are able to create good proposals for all future calls," added Peter Walters. "Sessions will also cover evaluation and negotiation as well as the management of projects. Brief case studies will provide an insight into the running of current successful FP6 projects."
The IST, Manufacturing and SME National Contact Point teams, as well as Commission presenters, will be available for bookable one-to-one clinic sessions throughout the event.
Collaboration opportunities in a New Member State will also be outlined and the event will close with a view forward into Framework 7.
