Marie Curie SCF Event

Progress in membrane protein structure analysis is continuing at an increasing pace. Latest structural results and new developments in related techniques will be reported and discussed in a beautiful location at the southern foot of the Swiss Alps. The meeting intends to attract scientists from academia and industry and in particular students entering the field.

14 Mai 2006 - 19 Mai 2006
Switzerland
The structure and function of ion channels, electron transfer proteins, transporters, receptors, and aquaporins will be presented. Such proteins will be described at the atomic level, as well as in the context of the native membrane. Large scale expression and engineering of membrane proteins for structural analyses will be discussed. Further topics concern progress in 2D and 3D crystallization of membrane proteins, X-ray and electron crystallography, atomic force microscopy and NMR.

Registration deadline is 31st March, 2006 via website http://bio.web.psi.ch/MV2006/registration.html(öffnet in neuem Fenster).
This event is part of EMBNTrain series comprising small conferences and practical workshops supported by Marie Curie SCF-initiative. 50 fellowships for early stage researchers (up to 4 years of research experience after graduation) and 30 Fellowships for Experienced researchers (up to 10 years research experience) are available.
