CoreGRID Summer School, Budapest

Are you a researcher, and especially a young researcher, interested in Grid Computing? Then you should attend the 3rd Summer School organized by CoreGRID, the European Network of Excellence (NoE) on Grid and Peer-to-Peer technologies.

3 Settembre 2007 - 7 Settembre 2007
Austria
This event will be hosted on 3-7 September in Budapest (Hungary) by MTA SZTAKI, the Computation and Automation Research Institute of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

The Summer School invites senior lecturers from CoreGRID, from external projects and from industry to give lectures and tutorials in order to allow researchers to acquire the necessary background in several disciplines related to Grid Computing. Practical works in computer laboratories will also be set up.

According to Pierre Kuonen, from the University of Applied Science of Fribourg, “One of the major key objectives of CoreGRID is education and training. Our Summer School helps us to reach this objective by gathering post-graduate students and international teachers as well as grid experts.”

The CoreGRID NoE aims at strengthening and advancing scientific and technological excellence in the area of Grid and Peer-to-Peer technologies. It brings together a critical mass of well-established researchers from forty-one European institutions. Scientific coordination is ensured by INRIA while the management of the NoE is handled by ERCIM, the European Research Consortium for Informatics and Mathematics.
