etranet Joint Call for Collaborative R&D - NOW OPEN

etranet is a network of national funding agencies currently supported by the European Commission’s ERA-NET Scheme. The aim of etranet is to improve international competitiveness, sustainability and socio-environmental impact of manufacturing industries in Europe through the strategic application of ICT.

In order to achieve this goal, etranet facilitates cross-border collaborative projects between national programmes that sponsor R&D projects that will improve the competitiveness of the European manufacturing industry by the application of ICT. Under this framework, it has launched this 3rd Joint Call for Proposals with a technology focus related to Networked Digital Manufacturing.

Six different countries are participating in this call, and more are considering ways in which to participate. The countries committed to participation are:

- Austria (FFG)
- Cyprus (RPF)
- Finland (TEKES)
- France (OSEO)
- Switzerland (CTI/KTI)
- Turkey (TUBITAK)

The deadline for submission of etranet projects plans is 30th May 2008.
