SPRINT conference: Quality promotion towards SMEs

The "European Seminar on Quality Promotion Towards SMEs", sponsored by SPRINT, the EEC's strategic programme for innovation and technology transfer (1989-1993), will take place in Aachen on 27-29 April 1993.
The promotion of quality is a factor of growth and success, and even of survival for European small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). For this reason it is being developed via support agencies and a variety of national and regional schemes and initiatives.
The European Seminar aims to discuss critical issues on quality management in SMEs, including an examination of the quality promotion scene in Europe, identifying the difficulties facing SMEs in keeping pace with developments in quality improvement, and developing and proposing a list of actions structured to bring fully effective quality management to SMEs.
Objectives are the evaluation of national and regional quality promotion organizations, the identification of items at European level to promote quality, the establishment of quality standards and certification, education and training, and current and future trends in total quality management.
Leaders, decision makers will participate in the Seminar together with interested persons from quality promotion organizations, SME trade groups and associations promoting quality as well as quality training providers and consultants.
