Open Research Data - building global partnerships

Building Global Partnerships to ensure that data is created and shared across communities, disciplines, stakeholders, public-private partnerships, research entities and non, public and private research funders, etc.

16 September 2013 - 18 September 2013
Austria
All of society’s grand challenges--be it addressing climate change, curing cancer and other disease, feeding and watering 7+ billion people, understanding the origins of the universe or the mind--all of them require these diverse (sometimes large) data to be shared and integrated across cultures, scales, and technologies. This requires a new form and new conception of infrastructure.

The newly launched Research Data Alliance RDA (rd-alliance.org) is creating and implementing this new data infrastructure and building the social and technical connections that make data work across barriers.

The second plenary meeting, taking place in Washington DC (US) from 16-18 September 2013 focuses on building global partnerships to break down barriers to open research data and strongly encourages increasing interest among people who wish to participate to global research data initiatives.

Get involved and be a part of the international endeavour, join us at the National Academy of Sciences, Washington DC from 16 – 18 September 2013. Register online now at https://www.rd-alliance.org/future-events(öffnet in neuem Fenster)

NOTE: If you are an RDA member (registered to rd-alliance.org) please LOGIN so that we can automatically feed your personal data into the Plenary 2 registration form.
