Second Nanosafety Forum for Young Scientists
The event is an open forum for young scientists (students, post docs, and others) who are engaged in EU-funded and national nanosafety projects. There will thus be scientific sessions with oral presentations by young scientists and informal meet-the-expert sessions with senior investigators. There will be no poster sessions. The oral presentations will be selected by the scientific programme committee from the submitted abstracts.
The EU NanoSafety Cluster will also hold a meeting in the afternoon of the second day, i.e. September 16, 2016.
The ENANOMAPPER project, which will end in January 2017, is currently developing a data management and analysis infrastructure together with ontologies supporting the safety assessment activities of the European Nanomaterials research and development community. The project is addressing the requirements of safety assessment of nanomaterials by providing databases, analysis tools and ontologies for risk assessment and linking them with existing resources in this area.
