THERMIE "ENUREN 94 - Energy urban renewal: Policies and technologies"

The European Commission's Directorate-General for Energy (DG XVII) has organized, in the framework of the THERMIE programme, a seminar entitled "ENUREN 94 - Energy urban renewal: Policies and technologies", to be held in Rome on 23-24 June 1994.
The seminar aims to promote and disseminate information related to retrofitting and renewal on an urban scale. Particular attention will be paid to the presentation of policies on expansion renewal and related technologies.
The main topics of the seminar are:
- Energy consumption and urban characteristics;
- Policies and tools for urban energy programmes;
- Rational use of energy and renewable energy sources' technologies in urban renewal;
- Energy characteristics of existing social housing settlements.
