Second European Conference on Crafts and Small Businesses

The Second European Conference on Crafts and Small Businesses will take place in Berlin on 26-27 September 1994, on the theme of "Crafts and small businesses, key to growth, employment, and innovation".

The conference will bring together craft firms and small businesses from the Member States and the EFTA countries. It aims to update the requirements and main priorities of the Community programme (CRAFT) in favour of craft firms and small businesses and enhance cohesion between all relevant parties.

The following topics will be addressed:

- Craft firms and small businesses in European policies;
- Integration of craft trades and small firms into the single market;
- Access to foreign markets;
- Vocational training;
- Strengthening the competitiveness of firms;
- Financing businesses and access to credit;
- Frontier areas as places of opportunity or risk for small businesses.
