In the framework of the Community's SAVE programme for the promotion of energy efficiency in the European Union, a symposium on "Energy-saving policy under the microscope" will be held in Bregenz, Austria, on 10 June 1994.
Since 1973, numerous study groups and pilot projects on energy saving have been established. The symposium aims to discuss the impact of these activities and, using specific thematic examples, will assess their socio-political and socio-cultural influence over the last twenty years. A comparison of past experiences and present-day requirements will be carried out.
