The Measurements and Testing programme of the European Commission is supporting the first International Conference on Vibration Measurements by Laser Techniques, Advances and Application, which is being held in Ancona, Italy, on 3-5 October 1994.
The conference will examine optical techniques for the detection of the motion of solids which have a broad range of possible applications from mechanical systems to diagnostics. They are also useful for monitoring human vibration exposure and the preservation of works of art.
