'Conference on Human biomonitoring - linking environment to health', Larnaca, Cyprus
Human biomonitoring (HBM) is a scientific technique for assessing human exposures to environmental agents and their effects, based on sampling and analysis of an individual´s tissues and fluids. Coordination of the ongoing biomonitoring activities in Europe will generally promote to achieve the objectives of the EU Environment and Health Action Plan, allowing among others for data comparability between countries, a better integration of information and the exchange of experiences between teams and countries.
The event will look at the possible ways of integrating HBM in a surveillance infrastructure for monitoring environment and health. The possible use of human biomonitoring in supporting and evaluating policy decisions, as well as in investigating the correlation between environmental exposure and health, will also be on the agenda.For further information, please visit:
