First International Conference on the Evaluation of Research, Technology and Development Programmes

The European Commission, DG XII, is organizing the First International Conference on the Evaluation of Research, Technology and Development Programmes. It will take place in Thessaloniki, Greece, on 26-28 April 1995.

The conference aims to:

- Bring together experts in the evaluation of RTD and establish a basis for discussion and further cooperation between the European Union, non-EU countries and international organizations;
- Review the experience of EU and non-EU countries in the field of RTD evaluation;
- Present the latest results in the field of RTD evaluation of work carried out under DG XII of the Commission.

The conference programme includes sessions on:

- EU activities in RTD evaluation;
- Evaluation activities: The international experience;
- Evaluating industrial research;
- New approaches to the evaluation of RTD.
