A visiting tour of "Wind power plants in Hesse" will take place in Hesse, Germany, on 26 April 1995. It is organized by the OPET network, in the framework of the THERMIE programme for the promotion of energy efficient technologies (DG XVII of the Commission).
The aim of the tour is to provide information on the technology, economic efficiency and potential application of wind power plants in the Hesse sub-alpine mountain area. It will also present a survey on the market for optimized wind power plants for use in inland sub-alpine mountain areas.
The tour will provide potential investors, engineers and producers, as well as regional politicians, with the opportunity to discuss significant innovation systems and problems in optimizing the use of wind power.
