Creating a market for small-scale cogeneration plants

A congress on "Creating a market for small-scale cogeneration plants" will take place in Frankfurt, Germany, on 21 June 1995. It is organized by CORA, a member of the OPET network, in the framework of the Commission's THERMIE programme for energy efficient technologies (DG XVII).

The aim of the event is to provide information on the technologies necessary to create a market for small-scale cogeneration plants, in particular the use of micro-scale combined heat and power (CHP) units. The following topics will be discussed:

- State of the art of existing micro-scale CHP units;
- Analysis of the sectoral breakdown of the potential market for CHP in Germany;
- Overview of European markets for micro-scale CHP;
- Administrative and financial aspects of CHP projects in the public and private sectors;
- Results of a fleet test with 15 CHP units.

The congress participants will also have the opportunity to visit an exhibition of micro-scale CHP units.
