THERMIE workshop on "Optimizing hydrocarbon recovery"

A workshop on "Optimizing hydrocarbon recovery" is being organized in the framework of the THERMIE programme for energy efficient technologies. It will take place in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on 23-24 May 1995, and is organized by PARTEX, a member of the OPET network.

The workshop aims at illustrating the applicability of the technologies used for the optimization of hydrocarbon recovery. The following topics will be discussed:

- Detailed core analysis and geological interpretation;
- Horizontal drilling in reservoir development;
- Reservoir and fluids characterization;
- Reservoir simulation developments.
