Conference and proposers forum for Industrial and Material Technologies - BRITE/EURAM '95

The BRITE/EURAM '95 Conference and Proposers Forum will take place in Vienna, Austria, on 11-13 October 1995.

Under the Fourth Framework Programme for research and technological development and demonstration (1994-1998) the industrial and materials technologies programme - BRITE/EURAM III - as well as the programme for the dissemination and exploitation of results - INNOVATION - play a central role in the stimulation of industrial RTD.

Under the Fourth Framework Programme the EC is placing added emphasis on the environmental aspects in RTD projects as well as strongly supporting the participation of SMEs in the programmes. BRITE/EURAM '95 will present information on the implementation of these strategies.

The second call for proposals for BRITE/EURAM III is expected to be published on 15 September 1995. Successful proposals will have to be equipped with the latest information on programme implementation as well the experiences of international partners from industry and academia. The conference will assist in the preparation of new ideas and partners for the next call for proposals, which will cover the following areas:

- Area 1: Production technologies;
- Area 2: Material and technologies for product innovation;
- Area 3B: Technologies for surface transport.

Area 3A, aeronautics technologies, will not, as originally intended, be included in the second call.
