Renewable Energies Development Conference

A "Renewable Energies Development Conference" will take place in Venice, Italy, on 22-25 November 1995. The main focus of the conference will be a coordination meeting of contractors in the Community's preparatory action on renewable energies (APAS-RENA 1994). The RENA programme, aimed at promoting the integration of renewable energies in economy and society, was financed by the European Commission through a budget provided the European Parliament.

The programme comprises 71 contracts with an average participation of five partners. It is divided into six sectors, each with one coordinator. The conference is intended as to mid-term review of the programme as a whole. A jury of 14 experts will be invited to give a critical appraisal of the projects undertaken.

The conference will also include:

- Euroforum III on renewable energies;
- The annual meeting of the "European Solar Council".
